Discombobulation

Hello again everyone =) I can't believe I've been away for so long - it's been nigh on 18 months since I've last updated this journal, and since I sort-of-subconsciously-with-no-reason-in-particular retracted my toe-dipping from the HP fandom. In that time, I've somehow acquired a new boyfriend and moved to Jakarta (Indonesia) for 9 months for work, but now I'm back home in KL (Malaysia) and find myself drawn irresistibly back into the HP fandom, and my beloved HD, again.

I've signed myself up for the

hd_holidays and

hp_emofest fic fests, so hopefully you'll be seeing some new fic here soon! Also, I've had some thoughts brewing on a couple of original characters... watch this space.

*looks around at the slow and inexorable erosion of post!updates in the past month or so wincingly* (is wincingly a word?)

O wearying state of full-employment, see what large and gaping holes you have riven in my promises of regular updates!

The current state of posting is rather abysmal, isn't it ... gah. Given my Pavlovian-like tendencies to dive for the nearest warm!soft!friendly! surface after a harrowing day at work (oh trusty duvet, how I owe you my lifelong allegiance, your duck-feathered folds haven't failed me yet) I guess it isn't terribly surprising. *scuffs a guilty foot*

Well, looming cloud of work-related heebeejeebies notwithstanding, I'd like to post the working copy of the small and humble beginnings of a new fic, where Harry and Draco are flatmates, and Draco is gay and Harry is not ... yet.

I've been sitting on this for a while. Originally written for a challenge, it got a bit - stuck - towards the middle, and I alternatively love it and hate it. I'm not posting it anywhere (besides here in the gloomy bowels of my own journal, of course) cuz it's only about halfway done and probably doesn't make any sense! Ok. I got all excited today cuz I think I discovered a new Harry!model *squees* .. and so, erm, these kinda popped out.

I find Adobe Photoshop so.. comforting. It's a bit like knitting or cross-stitching, I guess. Kinda brainless, but you get all excited about the outcome.

In between being shepherded from one relative's house to another's.. I had the inkling that my Professor Potter looked a bit lonesome.. so I came home and scabbled this together....!

The inestimable Mr Nick Potts, as usual.

In other news, my compy seems to have died. I woke up and it just wouldn't work properly - after being switched on for two minutes the screens goes scary and weird (as in all the pics and images are jumbled up) and I probably gave it a heart attack by switching it on and off repeatedly 20 times, to no avail. Oh noo!!! What about all my pictures? My essays? My fics?!
